Circa 1550-1070 BC, New Kingdom, Dynasty 18-20A finely modelled carnelian amulet in the form of a youthful Horus with his sidelock of hair portraying his youth. Mounted in a 22kt gold oval eye shaped pendant with suspension loop connected to a necklace.Horus was one of the most significant Ancient Egyptian deities, most commonly depicted with the head of a falcon, and the body of a man.For similar see:Flinders Petrie, Amulets.
