Featured in this lot is this native collection of prints from artist Margie Jackson (born 1934 and passed in 2021). There are five total prints in this collection. The first is a print titled "Winter Moon of the Cedar People” by Margie Jackson and is signed in the bottom left-hand corner. The second is a wonderful mixed media scene of Native theme of a woman wrapped in a trade blanket and is titled “People of The Cedar". The third is a wonderful print of a Pacific Northwest woman in a trade blanket; it shows the artist’s signature in the left and bottom corner and is dated 2006. The fourth is a print of a native child on a pony and is signed in bottom right-hand corner behind the matte frame. The last is a print of a Pacific Northwestern Native woman at the water's edge and is titled "People of the Water," and the artist signature is in the bottom right-hand corner; it is dated 2007. Margie Jackson (1934-2021) was a painter for years before show became a sculptor. Her experience at casting her creations in bronze began around 1976. Jackson lived on a farm in Yelm, Washington but grew up in Texas and Oklahoma. Because the range was open and cattle left on their own, they would be prey to packs of wolves and coyotes. Horses were still respected as a means of transportation and the area was plentiful with Native Americans still richly steeped in their own culture, lending to the inspiration of her work. Among her numerous awards are Best of Show-Sculpture at the Celebration of Western Art Show in Olympia, Washington and First and Second places at the 1986 and 1987 Arizona Annual Art Shows. She was commissioned to create bronze and limited-edition print celebrating the Washington State Centennial. The city of Yelm purchased one of these pieces for installation in the City Hall. The condition of these collection of prints is good and well preserved inside plastic sleeves. The measurements of this grouping of prints range from 11" x 7 3/4" to 20" x 16" and the visible art measures 13 1/2" x 10 1/2". Provenance: This is from the personal artist Margie Jackson.
