EDISON PHONOGRAPH SIMON & HALBIG GERMAN BISQUE-HEAD DOLLY-FACE CHARACTER DOLL, socket head with incised markings "S 12 H 719 DEP", fixed brown eyes with painted eyelashes and eyebrows, pierced ears, open mouth with six exposed teeth, metal torso and jointed wood and composition body, brown wig in long curls. Fitted in vintage attire, multi-floral dress with lace trim and undergarments. Circa 1886. 22 1/4" HOA.

Condition
Very good overall condition, expected wear, head with scattered shallow surface finish losses to edge of opening of head, composition with some repainting and expected imperfections including crackling and minor losses/roughness to limb tips, lacking a pinky finger. Dress with a hole to the front and expected wear. Lacking talking/musical mechanism.
