MID-ATLANTIC PATCHWORK PIECED DOLL QUILTS, LOT OF TWO, comprising a Pennsylvania "One Patch" example in plain white and red-printed fabrics, hand- and machine-stitched, having 72-pieced center surrounded by a single border, grid quilting, front-over-back binding, two-paneled print fabric backing; and a Maryland "Nine Patch" example in print fabrics, hand-stitched, having four pattern blocks with a total of 36 pieces, "X" form quilting, applied red binding, one panel print fabric binding. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. "One Patch: 11 1/2" x 14"; "Nine Patch" 13" x 13 3/8".

"One Patch" in very good overall condition, top with some light toning, a few stains and spotting, and a few breaks to quilting thread, backing with a hole near one edge, and some light toning; "Nine Patch" in very good overall condition, top and backing with overall toning, binding with a few scattered small holes and stains.
