Bisque socket head with especially plump face, large blue paperweight eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, rose-blushed eyelids, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, original blonde mohair wig over leather-covered cork pate, French composition and wooden jointed body with pewter hands, factory original silk costume, straw bonnet, ermine fur stole and muff, white leather shoes. Commentary: Circa 1878; Very rare to find, earliest period P.D. bebe with dramatic eye decoration and choice bisque, original distinctive body; one tiny wig pull and one foot repaired.
