The interior is a snap shot of the last day that this trunk was used in service. There is a newspaper dated January 14th 1968 which we assume is the last day this was used in service. The contents of the trunk includes everything an Railway Express Agency agent would need for a normal day. There are numerous types of Railway Express Agency paperwork, and Railway Express Agency sign, envelopes, log books, cloth bags, and more.
