CB&Q / Burlington and Missouri River Wood Caboose CB&Q / Burlington and Missouri River wooden caboose. Former CB&Q road number 14262 and former BMR 174. Built in February of 1903 at Plattsmouth, Nebraska; the caboose is in good condition for the age. The car has received maintenance throughout its time in private ownership including a fresh coat of paint in the past few years. A waterproof rubber membrane was also installed 10-15 years ago on the roof. There is some deterioration of the wooden boards near the bottom and also one end of the car will need some attention. The windows could also use some attention as they are allowing wasps to enter the car during the warmer months. The car retains its' friction bearing trucks. The car will be emptied of its' contents prior to removal and will be sold empty. All removal and relocation fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.
