California Zephyr Stainless Steel Number Plate, Porcelain Oval Sign, and Burlington Route Porcelain Sign A really great set of California Zephyr signage. The reverse of two of these pieces are marked "S. Solar" which we believe stands for Silver Solarium a well known CB&Q dome observation car built by Budd in 1948. This group includes 11 3/4" x 3 1/4" CZ-22 stainless steel number plate, 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" enameled Burlington Route herald (Some chipping and light rust on the reverse), and 8 1/2" x 4 1/2" oval porcelain sign which reads California Zephyr. The oval sign is weathered and has moderate chipping but is still very legible.
