Description
**Originally Listed At $1800**

Northwestern Europe, England, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A handsome wood and steel double barrel shotgun with brass fittings. The long barrel is a 12 gauge and has a ramrod groove below with a housing. The top of the barrel is engraved with "ST LOUIS FINE TWIST." The forestock is wood and extends to the backstock with thin crosshatched lines incised across the stock. Both iron lock plates are engraved with "JN SCOTT" and a star shape. The double trigger is protected within a brass guard, and a brass butt cap completes this fine shotgun. Size: 50" L x 5.25" W (127 cm x 13.3 cm)

Condition
Stable fissures and cracks on wood stock. Maker marks are legible with some softening. Butt cap and brass rivet on stock are slightly loose. Hammers move but are stiff. Trigger does not work. Chip to wood along lock plate. Gun has not been tested for firing functionality.
