Description
A vintage small Japanese silver and enamel vase. The ground is covered with a red Guilloche enamel and adorned with a floral rose pattern made in the Cloisonne technique. Marked with a Silver hallmark on the bottom rim. Initially, products in the Cloisonne technique began to be used in the 15th century as household items of the royal court and ritual items in temples. The first examples of cloisonne enamel appeared in China in the 15th century, and since then the technology for manufacturing products has not changed much. Circa: first half of the 20th century.
