The lot includes a hand painted early 20th century watercolor on cardboard landscape painting and a hand-colored photo of a Barre Brook by Wallace Nutting, circa 1915-25. Exterior tree-lined pond scene. Original mat, title, and pen signature. Wallace Nutting, 1861 - 1941, was an American minister, photographer, artist, and antiquarian, who is most famous for his landscape photos of New England. He also was an accomplished author, lecturer, furniture maker, antiques expert and collector. His atmospheric photographs helped spur the Colonial Revival style.
