An antique English Giltwood Lely frame. The molded borders with stylized leaf scroll reserves at the centers and corners and a ribbon twist inner frame. Paper label on the reserve S.T. Townshend working carver, gilder, looking glass and picture frame manufacturer, 18 Charing Cross, Norwich. Circa: second half of the 17th century.
