Chinese, first half 20th century. Carved, celadon colored, nephrite and jade colored hardstone inkwell and pen rest on gilt banded base. Vasiform inkwell with incised bird and foliate decorated base raised on carved ball feet. Unmarked. Catalog Note: This inkwell sat on Nell's desk at the Windcrofte House on Tuxedo Road. Approx. h. 4.5", w. 5.25", d. 3.75"

Condition

Oxidation to gilt, loose finial, loss to a type of holder with loss to underside and loose pen support.
