The present lot was used in Hillside House as a console, rather than a desk as it had been designed.

Provenance: Mrs. Harold Charles Price, Jr.

Literature: Frank Lloyd Wright Monographs 1951-1959, Pfeiffer and Futagawa, ppg. 88-91 illustrate and discuss Hillside House

This work will ship from Wright in Chicago, Illinois.

Condition

Desk top shows assorted scuffs and scratches, with one concentrated area of older drink rings to front left edge. Lesser wear to legs and aluminum elements while showing small flaked losses to enamel. Overall desk would benefit from restoration prior to normal use. Fair vintage condition. Please note this work may require the buyer to obtain a CITES permit to export out of the United States. Due to increased scrutiny regarding the issuance of CITES certificates, Rago/Wright/LAMA cannot guarantee an export permit will be granted.
