This 1979 Danbury Mint 10k Gold Commemorative Gold Coin honoring the 10th Anniversary of Man's First Moon Landing. This little gold coin is just a bit larger than a dime and weighs approx. 2.39 grams. This medal was issued as part of an edition limited to the number of orders postmarked by August 31, 1979. The front of the medal depicts a scene of Neil Armstrong descending from the bottom rung of Eagle's ladder and setting his foot on the moon. The obverse of the medal is inscribed: July 20, 1969 ON THIS DATE, ASTRONAUTS NEIL ARMSTRONG AND BUZZ ALDRIN BECAME THE FIRST MEN TO SET FOOT ON THE MOON. 10KT.
