Description
19th-century hand-colored engraving on paper, Knowle in The Parish of Seven Oaks in Kent (Being The Mansion House of Charles Sackville). It was created circa 1717-1722 for Britannia Illustrata. It is a fine example of early 18th-century British topographical and architectural art. Engraver: Johannes Kip (Amsterdam, 1653 - London, 1722). Designer: Leonard Knyff. signed in the plate, lower right and left. titled in plate lower to the center. Framed.
Dimensions: Frame size: 20 1/2 x 25 3/4 in. Picture size: 14 1/4 x 19 1/2 in.
Condition
Overall condition good, light water damage and frame has few scratches.
