Description
International Silver (American), 20th century. Sixty-four piece "Minuet" (pattern active 1925-1996) sterling silver flatware service comprising: seven dinner forks (7.25"), eleven salad forks (6"), eleven teaspoons (5.75"), four soup spoons (6"), eleven iced teaspoons (7.5"), sixteen dinner knives (9"), knife (9.75"), knife (8.5") and bon bon spoon (6"). Appropriately marked. Note: The "Minuet" pattern was first ordered for use at the White House by First Lady Grace Coolidge in 1926. Additional pieces would reordered for fifty years. Forty-seven weighable pieces approx. 50.26 ozt.
Condition
Scuffs and scratches on all pieces, most knife handles are dented from use. Set monogrammed "McC" except for two knives, one salad fork and one teaspoon with other letters.
