Description
Attributed H. & R. Daniel factory (English, 1822-1846), circa 1822. Eighteen piece partial porcelain dessert service, each piece having a scrolled cobalt and gilt decorated lip centering on a botanical, comprising: fifteen plates (dia. 8.75"), two shell-form compotes (h. 3", 9", d. 9.25"), and a pierced footed fruit basket (h. 8", w. 13.5", d. 12"). Each with pattern number "723X" to the underside. Note: Another possible attribution to this service is Grainger's Worcester.
Condition
Losses to scrolled elements on fruit basket with stable crack to edge; firing and glaze imperfections; some losses to decoration and gilding.
