Description
By Pratt & Letchworth Company. Buffalo, NY - 1890 - 23 1/2" Long. Carpenter, which was the original maker of the Tally Ho toy, went out of business in the late 1880's. Shortly thereafter, William Letchworth bought the casting molds for several of Carpenter's most noteworthy toys, including the iconic Tally Ho. Pratt & Letchworth made virtually no modifications to Carpenter's original design. In fact, the coach body, horses, wheels, shafts and figures are completely identical. The one significant alteration that was made was to the paint finish for the body of the coach. Pratt and Letchworth simplified their treatment, only painting the window and door details rather than entire panels, as Carpenter did. This represents a magnificent completely authentic example of the Tally Ho Stagecoach.
