Some jeweled , from the NW province of India, largest about 2" long India, probably Rajasthan, ca.19/ 20th century CE. A stunning textiles mantledisplaying extensive embroidery and "mirror" work, comprised of sari fabrics that have been repurposed into this beautiful wall hanging. Embroidered with the utmost skill and care, this textile presents a myriad ofcolors - red, orange, blue, green, pink, and white - and is detailed with circular reflective "mirror-like" pieces. The circle motif is a strong symbol used for various forms of Indian visual culture - often carved into temples, as bindis painted onto the foreheads of Hindus, and embroidered motifs featured in the garments of Indian women
