Item Details

Description

This elegant original Biedermeier chest of drawers dates back to around 1820. It was made in southern Germany. The four drawer baker chest has a beautiful walnut veneer. A writing compartment is hiding behind the slightly protruding upper drawer. Once you pull it out you can flip down the front. Four small drawers and a central open compartment decorate the inside of this drawer. The writing surface is ebonized and the light beech veneer of the drawers create a pretty contrast to the darker walnut of the dresser and the black of the writing surface.
