Louis Vuitton Vintage Monogram Coated Canvas Wardrobe Steamer Trunk Condition: 4 26" Width x 44" Height x 21.5" Depth This trunk is done in a monogram coated canvas with brass hardware, featuring wood and leather trim, two leather side handles, five flip clasps, and one keylock mechanism (no key included). The interior is done in orange coated canvas, featuring a flip top on the left side with velour lining, a wardrobe hanging compartment with a partition and thirteen assorted wooden hangers, and a small briefcase with two snap closures and handle. The right side of the interior features six pull-out drawers, three of which still include the original cheesecloth covering, and a locking mechanism underneath the top drawer that is still in working order. The exterior has previous owner's name and address on multiple sides, along with a Railroad Express Agency label dated January 22, 1956, stating it was traveling from the Brooklyn Army Terminal. There is also a previous owner's tag attached to the handle and two original Saks and Company labels - one on the exterior side below the leather handle, and the second one on the base of the left interior side. The trunk shows moderate to heavy signs of age and wear throughout, including: tarnishing, some verdigris, and scratching to the exterior and interior hardware, as well as patina, cracking, stains, and marks to the wood, canvas, and leather trim and handle. The exterior also has areas where both black and yellow paint have been brushed over the coated canvas in order to place owner and travel information. The interior shows darkening, scattered stains, and marks throughout canvas, satin top, leather accents, and inside the drawers, with the leather tongue on the second pull-out drawer detached but still present.
