A CHINESE ARCHAISTIC STYLE CLOISONNÉ AND PATINATED BRONZE ZOOMORPHIC WINE VESSEL, QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY, the loose avian head-shaped lid mounted with two rings suspending a three-part yoke form swing handle with two loose ring tipped sinuous arms ending on conical posts, above turquoise ground enameled paisley form eyes flanking coquille form finials, centering a polychrome and turquoise enameled panel ending on a hinged downturned beak tip covered spout, neatly fitting on a conforming rim over a short neck flaring to a pear-shaped body with a polychrome gilt cloisonné collar band of stylized undulating floral vines, above an archaistic style waistband hung with applied leaf tip panels in matching colored cloisonné enamels and backside mounted with a half ring handle, raised on a flaring circular foot. Good condition with some minor small scratches, spots, old enamel restorations, the backside of lid probably had a hinge at one time and has been removed, kiln firing pitting on enamel, and expected surface buildup throughout.
