A PAIR OF VINTAGE CHINESE JADE AND HARDSTONE BLOSSOMING TREES IN CLOISONNÉ JARDINIÈRES, REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949), each filled with flowering leafy peony stems with naturalistically carved petals in shades of yellow, purple, pink, brown, or green, and wire wrapped on metal stems with spinach jade leaves, set within a tapering rectangular turquoise blue ground cloisonné jardinière with a flat rim and canted corners of serpentine floral vines above a bronze frieze of incised fretwork, over sides of scrolling foliate stems enclosing matching colored blooms and raised on corner bronze cloven feet. Each in good vintage condition with a few tiny flaked spots, old restorations, one has a corner bent rim with evidence of old restoration, small nicks, and expected surface buildup throughout.
