AN ITALIAN ROCOCO STYLE MARBLE AND PAINTED WOOD COMMODE SINK, LATE 19TH CENTURY AND MODERN, the serpentine rectangular top with stylized leaf tip trim centering a squared rough hewn rose pink breccia marble sink, above conforming sides and three graduated drawers with gilt undulating raised trim enclosing central bronze cartouche escutcheons amidst hand-painted and molded leafy twigs, flanked by long scalloped corners with trailing leafy brown stems within stylized shell detailed tips, above a serpentine rocaille carved apron and raised on short cabriole legs ending in hoof feet, painted throughout in mustard, dark green, and brown colors. This Italian commode was in the process of being modified to a sink, the top, later back, and drawers were partially altered for the sink and pipes.
