A stylish mallard drake with a cocked-back head and delicate bill and tail carving. This carving is believed to be from a rig found in a carriage house on the Ernest Lehmann estate, in Lake Villa, Illinois. A feather-light hollow, two-piece body with a hollow wooden head, fastened together with 19th-century furniture "T" nails.
Original paint with even gunning wear and head is slightly loose.
