Description
Early Wood Duck Pair

Beach Haven, NJ, c. 1940
13 in. long
A plump pair of hollow wood duck decoys with textured head carving, curved sweeping crests, and upswept paddle tails. The rarity of early working wood duck decoy pairs cannot be overstated as most carvers did not bother making working decoys of the species.
