The lot includes a vintage Chinese wooden trinket box with bronze fittings and hand carved of natural material inlay on the lid, marked on the bottom China; a Japanese hand carved wooden trinket box marked underneath: Made in Japan; an antique oval birch bark box; a vintage Asian wooden stand; a Japanese folding knife with a stainless steel blade and a handle decorated with a traditional landscape scene, hallmarked.A wooden hand carvings, home decorations and collectibles. The present lot on auction form part of the Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of items can be tracked back to Felix Kuranda in XIX Century Austrian Empire, member of a well known family of bankers and politicians; directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne And Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk Long Island NY.
