Item Details

Description

A New England stained figured birch 2 part secretary desk, having 2 doors and fitted interior with upper shelf over 4 short drawers over cubby holes with shaped arches. The top section over a foldout writing surface covered with felt, over 3 drawers that appear to retain original oval brasses in the form of an ear of corn. The sides with reeded columns leading to spiral turned feet. Circa 1820-30. Small repair to the top corner of right door, otherwise very good condition. Measures 41" x 55 3/5"H x 18"D.
