Description
Central Asia, probably Turkmenistan or surrounding regions, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A large and lovely cuff bracelet formed from 98.9% to 99.4% silver. The tapered design features thick rims and a large, open wrist slot as well as 5 registers of zoomorphic creatures - a lion and an ibex - seemingly chasing an abstract, human-headed creature with a horse head on the tip of the tail. Size: 2.9" W x 3.125" H (7.4 cm x 7.9 cm); silver quality: 98.9% to 99.4%; weight: 231 grams.
