Biography: Participant of regional and national exhibitions. From 1977 to 2002, he and his wife, Tamara Yevgenivna, worked at the Baranovsky Porcelain Factory.
Participant of the art project "Decorative art of Ukraine of the end of the XX century. 200 names ”and exhibitions“ Contemporary professional decorative art of Ukraine ”,“ Transformation of image ”.
The artist is a participant in many painting and graphic plein airs in Vinnytsia, Odessa, Khmilnyk, Hrushivka in Mykolayiv region, Selyshche, a participant in the symposium of ceramics in Latvian Dzintar and Opishna in Poltava region [4].
He participated in the international exhibition "Contemporary Decorative Art of Ukraine" dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Ukraine's membership in UNESCO in Paris (France).
Works in the field of monumental art, sculpture, arts and crafts, graphics and painting.
Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1983. Member of the Board of the Vinnytsia Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
In 2017, V. Ovrakh received the honorary title - the best artist of Ukraine, as well as a silver badge with precious gold [5].
He lives and works in Vinnytsia.
He was married to Tamara Yevhenivna Ovrakh and raised two sons, Andriy and Roman. The children continued the work of their parents - they became famous sculptors. The wife of Andriy's eldest son, Olga Volodymyrivna Ovrakh (maiden name Danyliuk, daughter of the carver Volodymyr Danyliuk), is also a sculptor.

Monumental and decorative composition "Panacea" (co-author - artist Tamara Ovrah), installed in 1999 in Truskavets in the boarding house of the South-Western Railway "Svityazyanka" [7].
Decorative and thematic compositions: "Three Graces" (1993), "Through the Eyes of Descendants" (2005); "Chest", "Neighbors" (2006); Epicenter (2007) [7].
Monumental and decorative panel "Education, Art" (1995) for the exterior of Baranivska Secondary School № 1 in Zhytomyr Region [7].
Composition "Kolos" (2007, Vinnytsia) [8].
Vinnytsia, Monument to the Holodomor Victims
Memorial sign to the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933. Opened in 2008 in Vinnytsia near the central city park and Vasyl Stus Square [8].
Interactive sculpture "Artist" (co-authors - sculptors Andrew and Roman Ovrahy) [8], made by the owner of the art gallery "InterShik" Lyudmila Bushinskaya and opened in Vinnytsia in October 2009 [9] [8].
The sculptural composition "I carry my cross" (2010) is in the exposition of the Museum of Contemporary Podolsk Art in Vinnytsia [10];
Memorial sign to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred (co-authors - sculptors Andrew and Roman Ovrahy), installed in November 2015 in the square of the Heroes of the Maidan in Brody in front of Brody Pedagogical College. M. Shashkevych, the opening took place on May 29, 2016 [11];
Monument to S. Petliura, bust of composer Mykola Leontovych [12] in Vinnytsia (2017);
A memorial to the victims of mass repressions carried out in the USSR in 1937–1938 was erected in the Roman Catholic cemetery in Bar (2017) [13];
Monument to "Fighters for the Freedom of Ukraine" (co-authors - sculptors Andrew and Roman Ovrahy), opened on August 24, 2013 in the town of Pogrebyshche [14] ;.
Monument to the Heroes of the Maidan (co-authors - sculptors Andrew and Roman Ovrahy), opened on December 1, 2014 in Tyachev [15].
A memorial plaque to Simon Petliura's comrade-in-arms, UPR Army Captain Semyon Yakerson, was erected on the building of the Vinnytsia Trade and Economic Institute of the Kyiv National Technical University, next to the former location of the house where the Yakerson family lived. To this day, this building has not survived. The initiators of the memorial table are the charitable foundation "Heroics" and several public organizations [16];
The bronze sculpture of Eugenia Franzivna Prunmeyer by the Austrians, at the expense of which the Hotel France was built in Vinnytsia in 1874, was opened on November 25, 2013 at the entrance to the hotel [17].
