A 19th century mahogany decanter box later converted to a humidor
he box of plain rectangular form, the sides with brass angular inset campaign handles, the lid with inset brass tablet inscribed Captain Quale 33rd Regiment opening to a later interior with lift out tray,

Condition
In good decorative condition, the case with some dulling and minor tarnishing and a few scratches and spots to the inset presentation plate and campaign handles, the timber probably re-polished and with some dents, scratches and minor blemishes in a few places, the interior later lined as a humidor with lift-out tray filter and plastic gauge, these are now both detached so require re-fixing, some dirt and dust and tarnishing to the hinges and lock plate and sold with key.
