Description
An attractive Hanukkah lamp in the Art Nouveau style.
Art Nouveau style was the first artistic language that sought to adapt visual expression to the new and modern environment. In so doing, it rejected the prevailing approach to decoration, whether of an object or a building, which relied on artistic elements from the past.
The present Hanukkah lamp distinguishes itself from past models in its degree of implicit movement, and unequal height of its branches. Two black glass spheres support the lamp's upper section, adding visual interest and relating to the lamp's round base.
25.5 x 30 cm. 713 gr.
