Description
Lot of 2 hand thrown articles of clay pottery. The studio was founded in 1937 by Melvin Casper ( 1916 - 2002 ) and his mother Peggy Jamieson. The compote graced with a multicolored green drip glaze with an unglazed foot. Folk art style fish motif seen on the mug with a green glazed ribbed interior. The compote measures 3 1/8 in x 5 in. The cup measures 3 1/4 in x 3 1/4 in across the open mouth. Signed in script Merritt Island Pottery.
