MCM Marble Top Table w/ Hand Painted Surrealist Pipes. This Mid-century Modern table has a marble tabletop, with beautiful shades of red and gray running throughout. It has a real Italian and Fornasetti vibe to it yet we could not make any attribution. On this tabletop are hand-painted, abstracted images of leaves and pipes. The pipes are somewhat reminiscent of Magritte's famous piece The Treachery of Images, with the iconic phrase "Ceci n'est pas une pipe." The metal base has tapered supports and legs, as well as circular feet. A striking addition to a modern living room.

Dimensions are 17 in h x 40 in w x 17.5 in d. Condition is very good. There is minor surface wear, including rust, to the base. There are a few small chips to the marble tabletop. The top is not attached to the base. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
