Condition: Lined, minor surface grime.

Condition: Framed dimensions are 21 1/2 x 15 3/8 x 2 3/4 inches.

Under UV examination no obvious areas of retouch were seen. There is some natural pigment fluorescence but no appearance of in-painting. There is fine craquelure, some small areas with drying cracks, and scattered small paint losses most noticeable in the trees.

There are a number of white surface specks that show up in photographs. Most of these are due to the light reflecting off of impasto. However, there are also some tiny losses in the leaves of the trees as mentioned above and what appear more as "holidays" in the brushwork in the foreground landscape. The degree to which these are noticeable depends on the angle of viewing and the lighting of the work. The surface is stable. The work has been lined and revarnished.
