Cretaceous Period, 145-65 million years BP. A group of eleven Onchopristis numidus giant sawfish teeth. 37 grams total, 20-68mm wide (3/4 - 2 3/4"). From the Tegana Formation, Taouz, Kem Kem Basin, Morocco. Old German paleontological collection. Onchopristis is a genus of extinct giant sawfish of the family Sclerorhynchidae, which lived in North Africa and New Zealand during the Cretaceous Period. It could reach a length of up to 26.2' (8 m) and had a snout 8.2' (2.5 m) long. [11, No Reserve]
