For your consideration is a Chinese export porcelain tea bowl or cup with blue and white decoration from the Qing Dynasty. This fine porcelain tea cup is surrounded on its exterior with a beautiful landscape scene including traditional pavilions and structures, towering trees and a multitude of boats sailing between forested islands. The upper rim of the tea bowl is nicely gilded and accents the beautiful and elaborately decorated interior rim that sits in contrast to the lonely island which sits in the center of the tea bowl.
Provenance: From the private collection of a retired Army Major General in San Antonio, Texas.
