IV.
Jim Norton (American, born 1953) has been a member of the prestigious Cowboy Artists of America organization since 1989, and is nationally recognized for his pictorial oils depicting today's cowboy as well as historical themes from India. When he was a child growing up in Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming, he experienced ranch and cowboy life firsthand. Formally trained at Western Wyoming College and Brigham Young University, Jim also spent two years near Perth, Australia, on a church mission. His experience in the rugged countryside offered her a different perspective on Western life and further strengthened his love for cowboy culture.
