Description
London, Various Makers, Eighteenth to Nineteenth Century. Comprising a tablespoon, John Lampfert, 1773, engraved with the crest of a griffin's head, loop in beak; a marrow scoop, 1782, engraved with the crest of a harvester with sheaf of wheat, maker's mark obscured; a 'Fiddle Shell' pattern serving fork and spoon, William Eley, William Fearn & William Chawner, 1806 and 1809, respectively, each engraved with a badge and motto; the remaining in the 'Old English' pattern and comprising two tablespoons, the first 1788, probably George Smith, and the second William Eley, William Fearn & William Chawner, 1811, each engraved with the crest of a demi-dragon; a pair of tablespoons, John Lias, 1816, engraved with the initials "E.J.A" in block letters; and a set of 6 teaspoons, George Wintle, 1809, engraved weith the initials "WP" in foliate script, all marked. 23.97 toy oz. total.
