Oblong 8vo. 11 Albertype plates from photographs after William Henry Jackson, numerous in text wood engravings, and a full–page photogravure. Original publisher’s pebbled cloth gilt (repair to upper joint, front free endpaper renewed, title–page slightly soiled with chipper corner). FIRST EDITION, of this scarce American view book containing some of Jackson’s best–known images, including Cimarron Canyon, Pike’s Peak, Cathedral Spire, etc. Also includes a gravure panoramic view of the Philip Best Brewing Company of Milwaukee.
