A mess dress uniform for a captain, circa 1900
Elegant geschnittene Jacke aus feinem roten Tuch mit weißen Vorstößen. Aufschläge, Kragen und Schulterstücke (je drei Rangsterne) aus beigem Tuch, Revers aus hellroter Seide, reliefierte goldene Knöpfe mit Granatsymbol mit Ziffer "7" und Banderole "City of London", feines weißes Innenfutter (kleine Risse, etwas gedunkelt). Dazu die Weste aus beigem Tuch, Rückenteil aus Seide, am Rückenband innen ein weißes Schneideretikett von "Hobson & Sons London" mit handschriftlichem Trägernamen "Capt. C.W. Ewels", zwei Reihen goldener Knöpfe mit Motiv wie an Jackenknöpfen. Außerdem eine schwarze Tuchhose. Vereinzelt kleine oberflächliche Mottenspuren, kleine Risse und Altreparaturen, Trage- und Altersspuren.
