18TH C. FRENCH TRUMEAU MIRROR. Top section having an unsigned courting scene in courtyard oil on canvas (36" x 29") inside a gilt frame. Bottom section has mirror inside a gilt frame (25" x 31" with frame) with the glass having been replaced in the 20th c. The whole background frame has been repainted light green. The whole measures 69 1/2" x 35 1/2". Weight unknown - ships freight. Condition; the painting has overall craquelure and brownish spotting - needs cleaning (no restoration showing under UV light but some could be revealed after cleaning) - canvas has been lined. Gilt frames around painting and mirror show patina losses. Mirror glass is not original and has some scratches. Modern replaced top bar to the frame whole. The whole has been painted light green in the 20th c. and shows some nicks and wear -see photos.
