DESCRIPTION: Set of six rose medallion plates, each with a reticulated lip. Pieces are each decorated with a central image of floral and avian motifs. Central image on each of the first five plates is framed by a gilt border surrounded by butterflies and four larger images: two of floral and avian motifs and two of domestic scenes. Larger images on these five plates are framed by curvilinear borders surrounded by curvilinear, floral, and foliage motifs against a gilt background. Sixth plate's central image is framed by a gilt border and surrounded by butterflies and four larger images: two of floral and avian motifs and two of riverside scenes. Sixth plate's images are framed by curvilinear motifs surrounded by floral, foliage, fruit, and butterfly motifs against a gilt background. Rims of first five plates are decorated with curvilinear and floral motifs; rim of sixth plate is decorated with floral, foliage, and fruit motifs. Reticulated sections on each plate are gilded.
