Pair of Hand-Painted Porcelain Oval Dishes, Attributed to Derby
third quarter 18th century, English, each example painted with exotic birds, the molded sides decorated with green-edged shells and stylized flowers, the bases marked "HH2" and "HH3" in underglaze black.

Condition
No breaks or cracks observed. There is significant rubbing to the gilt at the rim, and rubbing and wear to the painted fowls. One dish has two very small flakes to the rim, about 1/32" in diameter.
