Carved and Pierced Giltwood Mirror in the Baroque Taste

fourth quarter 19th century, Italian or Spanish, the bold ogee-form surround carved with scrollwork, leaves and piercing, set with a beveled mirror plate.

In overall very good condition. The frame exhibits rubbing and wear to the gilt, slight shrinkage at lamination lines/joints and some typical minor flakes to carved edges but no notable chips or losses. The beveled mirror plate is crisp and clear.
