Monogrammed 18C Marechal Berecheny Portrait, French or Continental Aristocatic Geltleman Military Officer or Nobleman in Gilt Embroidered Tunic and Velvet Cape, oil on canvas, 19.875 x 15.625 inches, 26.75 x 23 x 2 inches overall framed, no visible signature recto, appears to be inscribed or if lined traced or repeated perhaps over signed and or monogrammed possibly FEH a 1750, F. E. He..., F. E. Ha... a 1750 or F. E. Ho... a 1750, extensively inscribed or if lined traced or repeated verso what appears to be possibly Marechal followed by several words followed by possibly De Berecheny verso, according to the family this was identified as 1745 Merechad de Berechy Portrait, note spelling and date variation, at the time of purchase from a gallery from whom they also purchased an 18th century Italian table and that at one time owner research suggested an English connection, source unknown. 20C frame. Provenance: Krassner Seymour Cooke Collection formerly of Kennebunkport, Maine, removed from their waterfront Southeast Florida estate in late 2021. CXRL17
