Description
This wonderful sterling silver antique sewing kit is believed to be French in origin. Kit contains a pair of scissors, bodkin which was kept inside the figural etui and one small blade. Box is velvet lined with a mirror on the inside lid. Artwork on the outer lid is after artist Franz Winterhalter. Originally painted in 1837 and is a portrait of Edgar and Marie DeLong's children. Case measures 4" x 6"
Condition
Appears silver items in overall excellent condition for age. Â Bottom of the case is worn with a stain. And case is worn. Â Leather to have lifted in one corner of the top and one corner has a piece missing. Â Please see photos for additional condition issues
