Offered in this lot are two 1937 movie theatre posters. The first poster is for Frank Lloyd's "Wells Fargo", starring Joel McCrea. This poster was from The Crystal Theater in Gilmer, Texas. The Crystal Theatre opened on January 1, 1925, by Rosa Croley. On July 23, 1965, just months after celebrating its 40th anniversary, the theatre burned down. The next poster is from The Waverly Theatre, Waverly, IA. The poster is for " Love and Hisses", starring Walter Winchell, with an extra showing of Norman Allay's "Bombing of the Panay". The Waverly Theatre opened around 1927 as a single screen theatre. It was closed February 19, 2018. The posters are on very heavy card stock and measure 22" X 14". The posters have slight damage but are still in good display condition at almost 100 years old.
