DESCRIPTION: Porcelain sculpture of courting lovers resting against a tree trunk and a column crowned with an urn. Lovers are barefooted, wear clothing with gilt highlights and patterns, and are sharing highly detailed flower blossoms from the maiden's apron and youth's basket; hat rests on the ground between them. Base of piece is white with curvilinear and foliage designs embellished with gilt foliage motifs and highlights. Column is pink and white with gilt highlights and floral motifs. Urn has a blue base with gilt highlights and foliage motifs; a white and red-violet body decorated with floral images and motifs; white, fish-form handles with gilt highlights; and a reticulated, lattice-patterned gilt lip. Marked on underside "J.P."
